Review: Granny's Waffles

Review: Granny's Waffles

Location: The Dubai Mall – 2nd Floor beside the fountain.

If you have been to The Dubai Mall before, you would understand that sometimes you need a break from all the walking. So you go and search for the perfect cafe. As usual we would've picked our favorite place for coffee and drop by Starbucks, but while we were on our way there we passed by a very attractive looking Cafe, Granny's Waffles.

The smell only would have been enough to make us sit on their leather, cozy looking seats. Other than that the place was very vintage and cute looking.

As we sat down and got comfortable, they got us the menu fast enough, and the first impression I got, good service! The menu was designed to look like 'Granny's' diary, I loved its design just as much as I loved its contents.

I was torn, I didn't know what to pick. They had fondue, where you could dip waffles and strawberries and other goodies. As well as Crepes and, of course, waffles.  I decided to go with a caramel waffle with chocolate and jam syrup, 1 of my sisters got a caramel waffle with bananas and the other got a chocolate crepe with fruits. I also got a caramel frappuccino.

We noticed that all of our knives were dirty, but they replaced them with clean ones quickly. As it comes to the taste of the waffles, they were very delicious and crispy. I would've finished my plate except the sauce was too much. It was caramel, chocolate, and some kind of jam or raspberry sauce. Let's just say my stomach really hurt
after I ate that mixture of sauces. On the other hand, my sister's waffle was light and very satisfying.

Now to the frappuccino, it was amazing. I laughed when I saw their... "Unique" Glass, but I can honestly say, I
liked it better than Starbucks'.

I would visit Granny's Waffles again, and I recommend you to do so too
